When Louis Fitzgerald refurbished The Laurels, he designed a premises that was modern and functional, but kept the traditional feeling, It had an unorthodox layout of split-level lounges and bars that added to the character of the pub – and it never feels empty even when it’s on the quiet side. The main lounge area is warm and spacious and has a magnificent old stone fireplace. It also has a back bar fitting that was imported in from an antique dealer in Chicago. The fitting was originally at home in a famous hotel in Chicago that Al Capone ran his business from. The upper lounge while also keeping the traditional feel is where you can hear some of the best live music in Dublin at the weekends.
The public bar located at the rear of the building is full of the old Clondalkin character with senior barman Kieran Gavin still holding the reigns after 25 years. Here you can enjoy a range of sports on the big screen TV’s including horse racing, football and GAA.
From charming, quirky, and traditional Irish Pubs to well renowned whiskey and gin bars in the heart of Dublin and surrounding areas there is something for everyone. The Louis Fitzgerald Group Pubs are famous for their delicious food, friendly staff and charming interior décors!

Delicious 😋 5 star Omg have to say I'm always on the prowl for delicious chicken wings and I've found my favourite the laurels chicken wings are amazing. If you have not tried these you are so missing out.. the staff are the friendliest bunch and they have recommended other food on menu which I will be trying... 10 out of 10
Nice find! Visited this bar while staying at the nearby Maldron Newlands Cross Hotel. (10 min walk away) The bar was very nice and traditional in style. The staff are a true asset, professional and friendly. The table service was very efficient and the food ordered was enjoyed by all. Try the Guniness.. you won't be disappointed! Looking forward to visiting again if in the area again.
Evening Meal I recently had Evening Meal
I recently had the pleasure of dining here for a meal. It was delicious. I had the wings to start followed by the most tenderest steak that I have enjoyed in a long time. I cannot recommend the laurels more highly than this review.
Family dinner and watching the match! Enjoyed a great meal (bar menu) and watching the match with kids, wife and mother-in-law. Everyone had good food all washed down with coke, wine and Guinness!
