Welcome to The Laurels

Comfort, fun, community spirit, great atmosphere – The Laurels has it all – and great drinks, food, customers and crew.

When Louis Fitzgerald refurbished The Laurels, he designed a premises that was modern and functional, but kept the traditional feeling, It had an unorthodox layout of split-level lounges and bars that added to the character of the pub – and it never feels empty even when it’s on the quiet side. The main lounge area is warm and spacious and has a magnificent old stone fireplace. It also has a back bar fitting that was imported in from an antique dealer in Chicago. The fitting was originally at home in a famous hotel in Chicago that Al Capone ran his business from. The upper lounge while also keeping the traditional feel is where you can hear some of the best live music in Dublin at the weekends.

The public bar located at the rear of the building is full of the old Clondalkin character with senior barman Kieran Gavin still holding the reigns after 25 years. Here you can enjoy a range of sports on the big screen TV’s including horse racing, football and GAA.

5 star ratingWhat a beer garden! Drinks were well priced, you could take your family there or get drunk there. We loved it. We spent all day drinking in the beer garden and we had a smashing time. You could tell the staff were all a bit young but they done there job, cleared our tables and kept the place tidy. It was right on the corner, so the Irish walk by banter was also rather strong. It’s like a wee family pub with a cool edge. Inside and outside smoking areas, always a plus for me! I will definitely return.

5 star ratingWish we had one at home Absolutely excellent place to go .... part of the Fitzgerald group so the spec is naturally high, all staff were very helpful and kind to us .... in fact we went back the second night because the food was just amazing.

All credit given to the whole staff as considering the venue was very busy it was immaculately clean, no empty glasses or plates on tables and we had waitress service to our table for drinks .... definitely wish I could pick this place up and bring it home as my local
